Reason #1... NOT to have a pet:

You never know when they might spontaneously clone themselves while walking through a heavenly forest. Serioulsy, what is going on here? Where did all the dogs come from? What are they doing? Is the baby their leader? Are there mirrors in the woods that make it seem as though there are many more dogs than there ACTUALLY are...? It reminds me of an old cartoon where rabbits multiply in a matter of seconds, and the world is suddenly taken over by bunnies.
