Clever way to make people think about their energy use... and to make guys think about sex juuuuust a little bit more than they already do.

Reason #5... to express yourself:

You can give someone a giggle while they're in the bathroom.

Bathroom humor isn't always gross... sometimes it can be very intelligent. Huufington Post has a collection of oddly intelligent bathroom scribbles that made me laugh (and I'm not even in the bathroom!)

Reason #4... to have kids:

You can dress them up all swag-like...

Nothing is better than "mini" things. Mini hamburgers, mini poodles, mini skirts... Dressing kids up like mini adults is no exception. These kids look like they could kick it on the runway, win a break dancing competition and star in an independent film about growing up short.

Magnificent.

Reason #7... to have a pet:

You can "lion king" them.

The sun comes up. The birds squawk. The new king is revealed to the world... from the dewy steps of your parents' back porch.

Their creativity will astound you.

This kid wrote an amazing letter to his local weatherman. It really shouldn't even be explained further.

Reason #4... NOT to have a pet:

They may take you out in your sleep. Ninja cats... yeah, they're a thing. Unpredictable, undetectable, unstoppable...? Watch your back when these mystical and fiercely strong beings are hovering around. Though it will be hard to maintain vigilance when you can't even tell if/when a ninja cat is in the vicinity! Good luck, humans...

Reason #1... NOT to express yourself:

It could distract drivers.

This is so creative and hilarious, though. All I can do now is try to come up with other word plays for varying car models. There are probably quite a few options out there...

Reason #6... to have a pet:

They can mystify with their jumping capabilities.

From basically straight knees, this kitty seems to defy gravity, space and time with this amazing leap of fear. It almost looks as if there may be fishing line involved. I wish there were measurements.

Reason #4... to express yourself:

You can surprise people with the completely unexpected. I'm not sure what the average viewer will expect when this video begins, but I definitrely did NOT expect what happened. It would be nice to get a reunion, "where are they now" performance and see if they can still rock (or are alive)... Super talented Yes. Beyond bizarre? Also yes.

Reason #4... to exercise:

Apparently, our jobs do not keep us very active.

We all know that sitting all day can't be good for us, but we continue to do to it day in, day out, for YEARS!

Reason #3... NOT to have a pet:

They snore. This hummingbird is no exception. Who knew hummingbirds made ANY noise other than bbbbrrrrrrrrrrr...? As cute as s/he is, though, it does kind of make me wonder if it's an animatronic puppet of some sort. Just a smidgen too cartoon-like and calm.

Reason #3... to express yourself:

You can make a music video. And you can be anywhere you want and do anything you'd like in said video. Like, oh... I don't know... play violin on the set of superman and dance in the snow with Uggs on... I can't tell is this is new age cool or just a bit too bizarre.

Reason #3... to exercise:

You won't feel guilty when you pass a hot dog vendor and splurge.

Where do these exist? And who buys hot dogs from them? The whole idea seems gross, but wonderful... unsanitary, but savory... uncouth, but convenient... unrefined, but it's making me want to try it!

Automated hot food is something Americans have not mastered yet, nor taken to very kindly to. But it could be the next stop to robots taking over the world...

Disgusting or brilliant?!

Reason #2... NOT to have kids:

They will show you how weak and pathetic you are. These two brothers are amazingly strong and flexible and obviously disciplined. (but two HOURS every morning!?) I just hope they're having a little time for fun kid stuff, too! Why doesn't their father show off his physical abilities...? Because the kids are definitely more capable of the "human flag" push ups and front slo-mo flips towards the camera. I would like to see updates in the next few years (aka: the Olympics).

Reason #5... to have a pet:

When trained, they will pose for pictures... on things.

This dog owner has found a small niche in the pet-owning world as well as the staged-photography circle. Getting his dog to stand on seemingly random objects in the world, Theron Humphrey has created an interesting collection of shots.

I think I would like to see the "making of" to see just how well-trained this dog is.

Reason #2... to have kids:

They can teach YOU how to dance. This kid had some sick moves, and he's barely standing! Seriously, how do they pick this stuff up? Are mom and dad constantly gyrating and shimmying around the house? Is Zumba always on the tv? Does Zumba even teach these spicy moves? Well, maybe in Brazil... There are sneaky suspicions that this is all CGI, but that diaper looks pretty authentic. Can anyone remember the last time you danced this well on a table?

Reason #1... to be single:

The eCards are funnier.

There's just something about being single and hating it and wanting tons of attention and pathetically thinking that something magical will happen on the bizarrely established February 14th is just funny. To me, anyways...

Some of these ecards capture the ridiculous nature of Valentine's day.

Send love to your friends and family if you haven't got a current sweetheart! And do it more often than once a year  :]

Reason #2... to exercise:

You can get super creative with your routine. Aaaaaaaand maybe throw in a glass "water bottle" that may or may not contain regular old water (I'm betting it's alcoholic...). I commend this crazy man for getting out and moving around in obviously below-freezing temperatures, but man, he's gone a little nutty in this video! Shirtless is one thing, and dunking your head is another, but plunging in WITH SKATES ON?! I hope there was someone else there in case things went wrong, though I have a sneaky feeling it was all/mostly tri-pods and self-filming. Makes me shiver.

Reason #1... to NOT express yourself:

You may horrify and ruin something very beautiful. A lot of people know and love this wonderful, melodic tune by Sade... never did I dream I would hear a version like this! I wonder if this metal band remakes an Enya or Colbie Caillat.

Reason #2... NOT to have a pet:

They sometimes find pleasure in destroying things.

Dogs eating shoes. Cats shredding paper. Birds pooping on your favorite lamp over and over. There are common pet destructions, and then there are those one-in-a-while events where your pet seems to shoot for the stars, all the while thinking they're doing something fantastic and wonderful.

Why would a perfectly nice and goofy golden retriever reek havoc on a grill cover?? Not a Kentucky fan?

And why would an adorable green parrot find delight in chomping on your brand new laptop keyboard?? Does he know that it will be someday be a hilarious story that no one would've believe had it not been captured in a photo...?

Reason #4... to have a pet:

You can dress them up and make them appear to do people things.

A brilliant Tumblr blog dedicated to such a phenomenon called Animals Doing People Things showcases many of the options in this department.

Sweater vests, hats, sunglasses... waving, reading, delivering pizza... So many wonderful options!

Reason #2... to express yourself:

You can make beautiful things out of, um... trash.

Artists Tim Noble and Sue Webster create serene masterpieces that display an obvious and seemingly time-consuming eye for detail. Their incredible shadow projections are unexpectedly believable silhouettes, crafted out of meticulously arranged trash heaps. Noble and Webster work with contradictions: light and shadow, beauty and garbage, form and abstraction, high art and rock-n-roll...

The results are quite amazing and remarkably thought-provoking.

Reason #1... to exercise:

It makes you healthier, and healthy is good.

Reason #1... NOT to have a pet:

You never know when they might spontaneously clone themselves while walking through a heavenly forest. Serioulsy, what is going on here? Where did all the dogs come from? What are they doing? Is the baby their leader? Are there mirrors in the woods that make it seem as though there are many more dogs than there ACTUALLY are...? It reminds me of an old cartoon where rabbits multiply in a matter of seconds, and the world is suddenly taken over by bunnies.

Reason #1... NOT to have kids

Never having to deal with toys that defy your teachings.

"No! Don't put coins in your mouth! Yes, this piggy bank does look like a face, and yes, you are supposed to put coins into his mouth, and yes, he does appear to be enjoying it, and yes, this is how it works for this fake face, but NOT how it works with your real face. PLEASE stop eating money, baby!"

Reason #3... to have a pet:

They fall sleep in funny positions.

They get so so so excited to eat, and then can't take it once they hit the point of satisfaction. Succumbing to the full stomach bliss, sleep is too hard to fight off.  Plop.

Reason #2... to have a pet:

They get super confused sometimes and make you laugh. How does this little guy's neck bend so much?! He's like an owl with that almost-180 degree rotation. I wonder if he's watching 2001 A Space Odyssey... or Keeping Up with the Kardashians. I don't understand either.

Reason #1... to express yourself:

You may find out just how high you can go. This guys gets major props for going for it. I don't know how his ears work, but it's hard to believe that he thinks he sounds as amazing as he appears to think he sounds. I kinda want to see a video of the audience's reaction. Note: if you play this at work, your co-worker may walk over to your workspace and ask if you are watching a viral cat video...

Reason #1... to have a pet:

You can put shoes on them and watch them freak out. This poor boxer cannot get the hang of his new booties, but surely he will eventually figure out that they help against the snow outside. Maybe? With those high kicks, this video should be dubbed over with karate sound effects!

Reason #1... NOT to exercise:

The Ab Hancer.

Helping unfit men feel like they could've been an extra in the movie "300" since 2008...

I would need to see before/after photos, but it seems as though, with the right lighting and blood alcohol levels, this could be somewhat effective. Temporarily, of course. Do you think the inventor was working at factory where they make black American Express cards and decided to make use of the scraps?

Reason #1... to have kids:

They try to play sports like grown-ups and look adorable doing it. I bet the little blue guy has fantastic images of himself looking like Ryu from Street Fighter - jumping 12 feet in the air, doing reverse strong kicks. And he's probably holding back so he doesn't do any real damage to red.
